WIP......BLACK CALF 2

Started wip this morning concentrating on the head but as this is the holiday weekend I'm going out into the garden for a little while just to rest and contemplate. Love painting black animals and picking up the subtle colours which reflect in their coats and help provide the bone structure. Will come back to this a little later, has got a bit overcast and rain could stop play in the garden lol. So keep an eye out for the next post.

Thanks Marian I'm glad you wandered over too. Had a lovely time in the garden so much so that I didn't get back to the easel today but will be firing in all cylinders tomorrow

Great start! I love to do black, so many possibilities with the shadows and highlights.

Thanks Gail, had hoped to be further ahead but had to do some shopping so will be after dinner before I get back to the easel. Yep works the same with white ones both reflect colour from everything around them :)
