NEW EXHIBITION AT ABERFELDY.......

"Petal" Acrylic 6x6 £150-

"Going To Get Wet" Acrylic 6x6 £150-

"Rain Gathering" Acrylic 6x6 £150-

"From Top of the Hill" Acrylic 6x6 £150-

Had a lovely trip up to Aberfeldy yesterday to deliver these four paintings to the Gallery . The Gallery is having a opening on this coming Saturday which will feature work by the artists Dronma and John Nelson and also new work by the gallery artists. It will be well worth visit and if you can manage on Saturday you can also visit the Highland games at Wade's Park.

I had hoped to have loads of sunny photos from the Sma' Glen but in typical Scottish weather it was a bit overcast going through it....off course the minute I got to Aberfeldy the sun came out and you could have roast an Ox on the street lol. Anyway this is probably the best of the bunch, which sadly doesn't show it of at it's best or give you the impression of how small it can make you feel while driving through......you'll just have to come visit for yourselves...smile.

These are looking grand and Petal has her ear piece lol!. All the best with the opening tomorrow. Do you paint plein air?

Off course don't want DEFRA banning my paintings cos my coos aren't tagged and numbered LOL. I used too do plein air but over the years with family commitments time just dwindled away. I take reference photos but thats all they are reference, most of if is implanted in my head the photos jog the memory.

you do get the sense of the of size of the hills even from the hazy photo :) I felt really small when we went up into the Grampian mountains in the winter last year, not as small as when I went to the Rocky mountains but they were still impressive.
