MMMM....MAYBE SPOKE TOO SOON

copyright 2010 Elizabeth McCrindle

You have my permission to tell me too shut up and just get on with it. Though in defence I did say the more you paint the more you learn. Having nothing to lose I decided to broaden between the eyes and the nose and I feel now I've got more of a likeness, so that said I'll plod on a little longer with this and see how it turns out...no patience that's my problem, I want it finished yesterday. Worked more on the eye as well and I'm better pleased with that, the eye is very important to me which is one of the reasons I start there normally when the eye its right everything else falls into place. Well that's my theory :)

Okay Elizabeth, "Shut up and just get on with it!" hahahaha - just kidding. This is a lovely piece; glad you have kept on with it. Such a kind eye this horse has.

Thanks Lynda...yep sometimes it's just too easy to throw in the towel. She does have a lovely kind eye but was a bit of a madam the day I visited, she didn't like leaving her friends to pose and threw a bit of a wobbly....the reference photos are not the best I've ever worked from lol

A lovely piece for sure! I always start with the eye as once it's done the rest just follows.

Thanks Gail glad you like it, haven't been working on it today yet, maybe later. Still not sure whethter it's her, might have to do another but that happens sometimes.

No Jane it's not finished it's sitting in the maybe do sometime box...it is nice but not sure that I captured her likeness and anyway my client decided they wanted to take a different route with their next painting which will involve a big canvas with three of their horses in a landscape....got to wait for better weather before I can get that started...but I'm real excited :))
