A VISIT TO PORTENCROSS AND TIME SPENT WITH AN ELDERLY LADY

Was visiting a client in West Kilbride today to take photographs of her lovely and ever young mare....27 years young and fresh as a daisy. On my way home I turned off and headed to Portencross a rugged and colourful stretch of coastline with an equally rugged history of past Viking invasions...or attempted invasions.

What remains of Portencross Castle built by the Boyd family on land given to them by Robert the Bruce in thanks for their part in the war of independance. It is having some major reconstruction done so that the public will be able to visit the almost intact Grand Hall and cellars.

The Saltire flowing in the rather strong and bitter wind that was whipping in.

A lone yacht out braving the bracing seas which were sparkling like diamonds.

Sal's thoughts of posing to long for the paparattzi...smile!!

K T have no idea where your nice comment went. I published it but it seems to have disappeared into cyber space.
But yes Scotland at times has a beauty that leaves you breathless :)
