Another of my favourites from the scrapbook. John Emms was a British Sporting Artist who had the added talent of being able to put character into the faces of the animals he painted, just look at that cheeky terrier.
Been busy preparing and working on commissions and will be for the forseeable future. As usual I'm at the coo's tail and playing catch up. I find it quite difficult working on several paintings at the one time but it is a good lesson on patience. Today though I primed quite a few small boards with the plan that I'll work on them intemitently with the larger paintings....that's the theory anyway :)
