The above four paintings are my exhibits for next months Art Off The Square Art Exhibition at Kilbarchan. The exhibition runs from the 25th - 27th August.

The "square" art exhibition? Funny how words have changed over time. In the 70's "square" meant dull and boring. No one would have titled their art exhibition "square"! It would have yielded no visitors... lol

So true Sue lol, in this case it's the village square. Normally would consist of a square piece of lawn surrounded by pretty little cottages. But in this case its a church, the Kilbarchan East Church surrounded by little cottages. A percentage of the sales price goes to the church funds :)

Well it's sure nice to see you back. Just you get out there and buy yourself a set of paints and throw yourself into it. Your drawing skills are the best tools you'll ever have too start painting, believe me. Sketch out a little headstudy pick up a brush...two colours french ultra and burnt sienna and draw and shade with your brush. Once you get that down it's just adding a little colour here and there :))
