The changes have been subtle but they have begun. On my walks over the weekend I noticed a stillness that's hard to put a finger on. But when you really look the signs are there, the trees look a little more tired, though they haven't been at their best this year (bitter cold winds in April burnt the fresh new leaves). The wild flowers are out of control and spent, though still beautiful in a wizened kind of way. Then theres the birds gobbling up what's left of the seeds. The top photo of Arran does nothing to capture how it looked in real time, there are days when you can't see it and others when it feels I could reach out and touch it. The colours are changing and as an artist I'm looking forward to capturing it......then sharing it.
PS Doesn't that rooster think he's the bees knees
