"Rough Day" Acrylic 5x7

"Rough Day"
Acrylic 5x7
£150-

Been a bit of a wet and cold day today, feeling a little more like November than August. Because of that I think I might have gone overboard with the rough skies and seas on this wee seascape. You can take my word for it though, it gets pretty choppy on the beach and those idiots, I mean enthusiasts :)) on the yachts are braver than me.

Wonderful work. I can just imagine standing on the shore with the breeze in my hair watching the boats on the water. Love that sense of distance you convey.

I actually love the added "rough" texture Elizabeth. One can really feel the wind blowing in this one. :-)

Lee it can be a fierce biting wind whipping across the shore...you really need your bunnet pulled down over your ears on days like that. Brings a glow to your cheeks :)

This was a quick frantic piece with the brushes darting at all angles Deb to try and convey the rough grasses bent by the wind coming off the sea. There are links golf courses along this coastline known to make grown men cry lol
