Elizabeth - I've been following you for a long time, and marvel at your photos and paintings. I ahhh at them like we do at Munnings. We had a lady visit a workshop in Aiken SouthCarolina USA last week who is a Munnings expert - writing for catalogs and books. Wish I remembered her name. All us painters had Munnings books to admire. Your paintings are right up there with Munnings!

Robin that sounds like a workshop I would have loved to be at :) I am delighted that you are enjoying my blog and over the moon to be compared in the same sentence as Munnings. I have a long ways to go before I could be in his league but I thank you for the compliment I have a smile the width of Scotland :))

Thank you for sharing this beautiful painting, Elizabeth. The way the light shines off the horse's coat is stunning. I always like seeing where my artist friends find their inspiration!

I love the greenish highlights on the horse--

There are so many artists past and present that inspire me Karen. On tough days when things are going pear shape and I'm convinced I'll never lift another paint brush it's paintings like these that make me ache to paint.......
