Beauty in simplicity....


Even in the bleakest landscape the artist's eye can find colour and pattern, was drawn to this bare birch sapling this morning on my walk......

Worked some at the easel, a small secret and a larger landscape, I'll share in due course :)

That's exactly right, Elizabeth ... I see pictures everywhere! Sometimes with a group of friends, I'll be taking a photo of something and they'll say, what in the world are you taking a picture of? I guess that's part of our job as artists: to point out the beauty even in the most unlikely places! :)
Can't wait to see what you're working on next!

Yep it ain't a bad job this art mylarky, an excuse to highlight beauty that might otherwise go unseen :)
