"In the Shade"

Worked a bit more on this wee one and it looks much more balanced. Toned down the bottom left section. The foliage felt way too bright, even though it was in the photograph. This is why you have to remember the photograph is just a tool something to remind you of what you saw. At the end of the day your own instinct will tell you what's right and wrong. I've signed it but will hold for a few days before putting it on the website.
Glad I dragged myself out on Saturday for my photo shoot as today feels like we are back to November, rain and high winds. With more of the same forecast.....just know theres sunny days!

I really like the changes you made in this one ... you're right, we should never be a slave to our photos, but just let them be a "jumping off" point. Beautiful results in this!
Sounds like a good time to be all cozy in the studio with hot tea and painting! :)

Thanks Karen I enjoyed doing this wee one. Yep your right it feels good cosy in the studio when the wind and rain are competing against each other outside...hoping it'll brighten soon :)
