"Quiet Spot" Acrylic 7x8

"Quiet Spot"
Acrylic 7 x 8

Finished this one off this evening and after looking at it renamed it "Quiet Spot" as opposed to the riverbank. Sometimes naming a painting can be as difficult as painting it. This one became easy when I stepped back from the easel and was transported back to the morning I first saw this scene. Was just me on the bridge looking down on the stream, it was so quiet except for the happy chirping of the birds. Nothing soothes my mind more than being out amongst nature.....

It turned out lovely Elizabeth! Yes, there's nothing like being out in nature with the sounds of the birds, a stream, perhaps a sheep baa or two.... ahhh. :-)

It's lovely, Elizabeth. You handled all those greens with confidence and mastery and the result is so softly soothing.

Thanks for the lovely comment Susan it's much appreciated. I think the secret of greens is to try not to think of how green they are but how much blue, red and ochres are in them :)
