Most men pursue pleasure with such breathless haste that they hurry past it. ~Soren Kierkegaard

The wall is silence, the grass is sleep,
Tall trees of peace their vigil keep,
And the Fairy of Dreams with moth-wings furled
Plays soft on her flute to the drowsy world.

Sunny Sunday

A lovely sunny morning so I put on my walking boots grabbed both cameras and headed out. Was refeshing to the mind and the soul even if there were slim pickings for the eyes. But, always there are signs of a new start, fresh green leaves on the brambles that are sheltered and lichen growing on an old twisted tree. The birds were also making themselves heard though being shy of the camera. Except for the Jackdaw sitting on the telephone pole at the back of my garden, take note of how blue the sky was........smile!
Hoping your skies are blue.....

Shhhnow Time........

Seems such a long time since I've shared any photos with you. To be honest I haven't been out and about much with my camera...not been walking much. But, today we had our biggest flurry of snow. Not much when you consider what everyone else has had, but, enough to get me excited enough to go and take some snaps. Funny that in my last post I mentioned how Spring was just round the corner....seems not quite!
(These were taken with my trusty wee canon power shot as I still need to get a zoom for the new baby)

Courage in your own.

Lovely sunny day here for a change makes me feel that Spring isn't too far away. Speaking of Spring thought I'd just share details of one of the Spring Exhibitions I'll be taking part in. The first is at the Aberfeldy Gallery which incidently is celebrating it's 30th birthday this year. The exhibition runs from 23rd March - 3rd May and spring should be in full swing by then. I'll also be back at the Aberfeldy Gallery in August when I'll be taking part in a group exhibition with another three artists. You will be able to follow the progress of work for that over the coming months.
Hoping your day is sunny I'm off for some time at the easel.

Summer last year had it's fair share of rain. We certainly could have done with less but I loved watching the change as the the rain swept in across the landscape. On ocassion it would look as it someone had drawn a line.
Hoping your day has seen a little sunshine.........

From the kitchen window.....

Was entertained this morning from the kitchen window by this wee guy and his friends. Cold frosty morning but dry and it brought the birds to the feed station. Wonder if this is one of the babies I helped rescue last year returned to nest.
