Yachts, Gulls and Giant Seaweed

Was delivering a painting to the Framework Gallery today and on the way back home I had a wee look in at the Troon Yacht Haven and got some shots of the Yachts. One of these days I'm going to have a go at painting them, lots of shapes and sizes and loads of colour. Took the dogs along the beach but it was a bit dull for photos but plenty of ideas nevertheless. That big dollop of seaweed was enormous, bigger than both dogs put together. It got rid of some cobwebs and although tired when I got home it's the best I've felt for a fortnight, long may that continue.

"Path of Shadows" Acrylic 8" x 8"

"Path of Shadows"
Acrylic 8" x 8"

Another walk through the trees, don't worry I'm not getting obsessed with my path much as I love it. Just enjoying painting for the sake of painting, so I'm just painting whatever takes my fancy. Next one just might be another favourite subject, but this one has four legs.
Anyone that has a real fancy for this one just shout out.

"Bleached" Acrylic 6" x 6"

Acrylic 6" x 6"

Actually meant to post this one yesterday evening but ended up with a migraine (blaming the thundery weather). So here it is a day late, not sure if I've totally captured the feel but it was so good to be sitting at the easel. Last Friday I took a couple of paintings down to the Framework Gallery in Troon and me and the dogs also had a lovely walk along the beach taking lots of reference photos and just soaking up the atmosphere. Also took a drive around the area as it was such a good day so you can expect a few more beach scenes in the coming weeks not to mention landscapes and some beasties from my travels.
Well I need to go peel a juicy Satsuma that's begging to be!
